Church the Way It Was Meant to Be
Small. Real. Rooted in discipleship. For over 27 years, Sanctuary Church has been a place where people don't just attend — they grow, they heal, and they're raised up to make an impact.
Not Your Typical Church
Sanctuary Church of Jacksonville was founded on the principles of the early church — gathering together, sharing life, and walking through deep discipleship. We're not trying to fill an arena. We're here to raise leaders.
Led by Pastors Connie and Dwight Cenac, our church was born out of decades of real-world ministry — from the healthcare industry to missions spanning six continents. Before “marketplace ministry” was a term, the Cenacs were living it — mentoring, serving, and sharing the gospel wherever God placed them.
This is a place where faith is tested, refined, and made real. Where trials become triumphs. Where you're not just welcomed — you're invested in.

“Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”— Matthew 6:33

🔥 Pursuit of the Fire | Pastor Connie | Sanctuary Church
We're all pursuing something. In this powerful continuation of our Fire of God series, Pastor Connie challenges us to stop settling for yesterday's manna and passionately pursue the fire of the Holy Spirit. From the burning bush to Mount Carmel, Scripture reveals that our God is a consuming fire. But on the Day of Pentecost, that same fire fell on 120 ordinary believers who set everything aside to wait in the upper room — and they changed the world. The power of Elijah is reserved for those who are desperate for more. In this message you'll discover: - Why Jesus commanded His disciples to wait for the gift of the Holy Spirit - How the baptism of the Holy Spirit transformed Peter from a cowardly lion into a roaring lion - Why signs, wonders, and miracles didn't end with the apostles - The power of praying in tongues and pursuing the gifts of the Spirit - How God is raising up an end-time army in the spirit and power of Elijah Scriptures: Zechariah 3:8 | John 1:9-13 | Proverbs 17:3 | Psalm 34:17 | John 20:19-22 | Acts 1:4-5 | Acts 2:1-4 | John 14:8-14 | Acts 2:43 | Acts 5:12-16 | Acts 6:8 | Acts 19:1-7 | 1 Corinthians 14:1-5 | Matthew 5:6 | Joel 2:28-29 | Psalm 20:6 How hungry are you for more of God? What a Difference a Mother Makes! - Pastor Connie
Join Pastor Connie at Sanctuary Church of Jacksonville for a heartfelt and challenging Mother’s Day sermon on the incredible influence and responsibility of motherhood. Drawing from her own life and her 99-year-old mother’s powerful example, Pastor Connie shares timeless wisdom on faith, family, and raising children for God’s glory. In this message, we explore the lives of two mothers in the Bible: The mother of Samson – A woman whose son was called to be a Nazirite from the womb, yet whose compromise and lack of biblical conviction led to tragedy. Hannah, the mother of Samuel – A broken but faithful woman who cried out to God, kept her vow, and gave her son fully to the Lord, raising up one of the greatest prophets in Israel. This timely sermon reminds us that mothers shape destinies. Will we raise Samuels who serve God faithfully, or Sampsons who live compromised lives? Pastor Connie calls every parent and grandparent to prioritize eternal values over worldly success and to live as holy examples before their children. Key Topics: The power of a mother’s example Raising children in the fear and knowledge of God The danger of unequally yoked relationships Compromise vs. consecration God’s heart for holiness and legacy Whether you’re a mom, dad, grandparent, or someone who desires to leave a godly legacy, this message will encourage, convict, and inspire you.
